The Church of the Holy Cross
The Church of the Holy Cross is a former monastery church of a franciscan friary, which was built in the mid-1400's. There are medieval wall and vault paintings in the choir of the two-aisle stone church. The church nowadays serves as a town- and rural parish church of
Rauma.

The Church of the Holy Trinity was built in the 14th century. It burned down in 1640, after which the Church of the Holy Cross was taken into use by the
congregation.
Lönnström Art Museum
Lönnström Art Museum organizes changing exhibitions in the field of pictorial art and culture. This supply is replenished by cross-artistic happenings, concerts, workshops, and lectures. The museum lies in the centre of the town, in a former Town Hall built in 1912, repaired in 1993.
Rauma Art Museum
Rauma Art Museum lies in Old Rauma, in Pinnala house built in years 1795 and 1827. The Art Museum is known e.g. for Rauma Biennale Balticum representing modern art of the Baltic countries and the Electrical Art Exhibition representing art meeting with technology. Representing and recording also the art of Rauma and the Rauma district form an essential part of the operation.
Rauma Museum (Kauppakatu 13)
Rauma Museum operates by the Market Place in the former, architecturally valuable Town Hall built in 1776. There you can see the models of Rauma bobbin laces and objects connected with seafaring.
Kirsti (Pohjankatu 3)
A typical two-room Old Rauma house from the 18th century furnished as a seaman's home from the turn of the last century.
Marela (Kauppakatu 24)
A museum representing the home of a ship-owning family from the turn of the last century with also changing exhibitions.
Regional Museum Muina (Vasarainen)
Regional Museum Muina maintained by an association lies in the village Vasarainen, Rauma. A farmyard in an authentic rural surroundings. The museum collection includes 1500 rural objects from the last century and from the beginning of this century. |
