Students from many countries in Rauma
Autumn
is here, and international exchange students have arrived in Rauma. As many
as 32 students representing eight different countries started at Satakunta
Polytechnic's unit in Rauma this fall.
On Monday, the first workday of September, exchange students got to know the
new town where they study. An information meeting that included pictures was
held in English. The meeting was organized by administrative director Sari
Salo and it took place in the council chamber. After a conducted tour
students relaxed in Suvilysti, among other things by swimming.
Some of the newly arrived exchange students will be staying only this autumn
in Rauma, but others will continue here next spring, too. Their home
countries are England, Germany, France, Poland, Austria, Belgium, Holland
and Italy. Most of them come from Germany and France. Correspondingly,
students from Rauma can go abroad to study. Rauma is accordingly the whole
Satakunta Polytechnic's most international unit.
