Old Rauma has made it into the top five in the Finnish Travel Gala’s “Vuoden kotimainen vierailukohde tai nähtävyys” category. The other destinations in the top group are Ateneum, Bengtskär, Koli National Park, and Old Porvoo. Old Rauma’s final ranking will be revealed at the gala held in Helsinki on November 3rd.
The public was allowed to vote for their favorites throughout the summer until the end of August. The winner of the vote is the one who has received the highest Net Promoter Score.
– A big thank you to everyone who voted for Old Rauma. There were many nominees in this category, so making it into the top five is already a great achievement in itself, Tourism Manager Irene Villanen says.
According to Tourist Information Officer Johanna Sainio, the final placement of Old Rauma will be announced on Visit Rauma’s Instagram account as soon as it is known.
– We will also share information on the Rauma city website and other social media channels immediately in the week following the gala, Sainio promises.
The Finnish Travel Gala is an annual event organized by service company Smalser of the Association of Finnish Travel Industry. The Gala gathers together travel industry professionals and their guests to celebrate the most valuable industry wins and winners of the year.
