Academic education and research

Rauma has trained teachers for over 100 years. The Turku University Faculty of Education trains comprehensive school class teachers, technical studies teachers, and nursery school teachers.

The Turku University Faculty of Humanities training unit (covering digital culture) is also located in Rauma, as is the education unit of Turku University's Centre for Maritime Studies.

Tampere University of Technology also has some research units in Rauma.

Satakunta Polytechnic offers versatile and internationally focussed education and research activities in Rauma. You can choose from among maritime, technology, business, social service, and health care education.
