Rauma offers high-quality basic health care services, both public and
private. Public health care is organised through the Satakunta Hospital
District. The health centre is at the District Hospital’s premises. In
addition to public health services, there are private practices.
The Local Government Regional Authority of the Satakunta Hospital District
provides specialist medical services for the population in collaboration
with regional basic health care and welfare services. Specialist services
are provided at the Central Hospital of Satakunta, the District Hospital of
Rauma, and the hospitals of Satalinna and Harjavalta.
The District Hospital of Rauma is a reliable, high-quality provider of
specialist medical services for the region’s inhabitants. The hospital
specialises in surgical medicine, paediatrics, gynaecology, ear, nose and
throat, and internal medicine.
The Central Hospital of Satakunta, in Pori, runs 11 special clinical
programmes at present. Harjavalta’s Satalinna Hospital specialises in
physiatry, geriatry, and rehabilitation, as well as dermatology. Psychiatric
special services have been concentrated in the Hospital of Harjavalta. The

the child's health early enough.

individually in different situations related to parenting and child care.
You can also contact your own nurse when your child falls ill or you are
