Successful sportsmen awarded by the Town of Rauma
On 9 January 2006, the Board for Sports and Youth Services gave awards to
successful sportsmen of 2005. The awards were granted on the recommendations
of sports associations. At the same event, the Action for Youth Award
2005 was presented and the names of Ikiliikkujat (senior keep-fit
enthusiasts) of 2005 were announced.
The Action for Youth Award 2005 was presented to Klustermus
for their distinguished work to help young dropouts. Another Action for
Youth Award was presented to Jaakko Karta who has been an active member
of the scouting movement for over 70 years.
Ikiliikkujat of 2005 are Armi Varjonen and Seppo Santamaa.
Ikiliikkujat (senior keep-fit enthusiasts) are active, retired long-term
sportsmen and women.
