Rauma Town Library is a public library where borrowing, use of computers,
information desk and advice on how to use the library are all free of
charge. The library is open for everyone, and a library card can be
obtained by giving proof of identity.

Borrowing is free of charge.

It is possible to reserve material against payment either at the
library, on the Internet or on the phone. You can also reserve
materials from an other public library belonging to the
Satakirjastot net library.

You can renew your loans at the library, on the Internet or on the
phone.

Computers can be used free of charge. They have e.g. access to
the Internet and word processing programmes. To register as a computer
user, one must present a library card or an ID card. Temporary use is
possible without registration.

Information desk: library personnel will assist customers with
library use and information search.

Interlibrary service: Such material that
the public libraries in Satakunta area do not own will be obtained from other libraries, also from abroad. Payment
is required for this service.
Material
Library holdings include books, CDs, cassettes, video cassettes, DVDs,
sheet music, CD-ROMs, newspapers and magazines. There is a variety of
foreign-language literature, e.g. in English, French and German, and the
library has subscribed to several foreign newspapers and magazines.
Their latest issues can be read at the library and older issues can also
be borrowed.

Without a password you can

check the availability of items

check for prior reservations
You will get a library card and a 4-digit password from the library by
proving your identity. With your library card serial number and the
password given by the library you can

check your loans, reservations and outstanding fees

renew your loans up to
eight (8) times if the items are not reserved by
someone else

reserve material and cancel reservations
Agree with the
library whether you prefer to be informed of the arrival of the reserved
material by mail, SMS or email.
If you have lost your borrowing rights (exceeded the debt limit), you
can neither make reservations nor renew your loans.
