Master Lacemakers from Rauma -Impi Alanko              

Old Town Hall 17.4.2008 onwards

The exhibition presents the life-work of Impi Alanko, who passed away last year. It is the second in the series of exhibitions on distinguished Rauma lacemakers. 

 

 
Silk and velvet - church treasures from museum collection

Old Town Hall until 11.7.2010

Exhibition presents items from 15th century to 19th century. Church items were made of valuable materials like silk, velvet and silver.

 
Peek to the world of elves - finnish elves

The exhibition presents 17 different types of elves. The elves are borrowed from museum of Satakunta, Pori. The workers of Rauma museum have also built an authentic snoring elf.

 

Happy to be at Your service! - Welfare work in Rauma from 1879

Welfare work has been done in Rauma allready 130 years. The exhibition tells about the phases of christian welfare work in Rauma.
