The Continuing Education Centre offers education that supports the student's professional and personal devel-opment.
 

The education takes the following forms:

  • professional specialisation studies

  • theme days

  • seminars

  • tailored educational services for companies and corporations.

Furthermore, the Continuing Education Centre coordinates the courses offered by SAMK's Open University of Applied Sciences, and, as of 2007, will coordinate the development network of the National Open University of Applied Sciences.

 

Education is offered in the fields of Business, Tourism and Culture, Social Services and Health Care, as well as Technology and Maritime Management.

 

Tuition is provided in five locations in the Satakunta region: Pori, Rauma, Huittinen, Kankaanpää and Harjavalta. Direct contact teaching usually takes place in the evenings and at weekends. Internet-based learning environments are also available. The tuition is usually provided by teachers and experts employed at Satakunta University of Applied Sciences, but visiting experts are used too.
