Degree programmes, degrees

Degree programme in Nursing from which the following degrees are awarded:

• Sairaanhoitaja (AMK) - Bachelor of Health Care (nurse)

• Terveydenhoitaja (AMK) – Bachelor of Health Care (public health nurse)

Bachelors of Health Care are nursing experts who work in hospitals and health centres as well as in social welfare tasks which require expertise in nursing.

Bachelors of Health Care (public health nursing) are experts in health care. The degree programme is based on nursing training, and the priority areas also include child welfare clinic services, occupational health services and home nursing services. Public health nurses can also work in child welfare clinics and occupational health centres.

In the Faculty of Social Services and Health Care the student can also complete studies leading to the Master of Health Care degree.
