City administration

In 2024, the City of Rauma will implement participatory budgeting for the fourth time. In February, citizens will have the opportunity to come up with ideas on which important items or issues should be targeted with the €50 000 Mnuu huki pot.

Voting phase is open until 14.4.

The voting phase for participatory budgeting is open until 14 April to vote for your favourite out of 14 proposals.

Votes will be collected primarily via an electronic form. You can also vote using a paper form in all Rauma libraries and in the Pyyrman service point. Voting is in Finnish.

There is no limit on the number of people who can vote, and anyone who wants to can participate. However, you can only vote once for one idea.

The number of proposals to be implemented will depend on the cost of the winning proposals. The proposals with the most votes will be implemented as many as the total budget of €50 000.

Evaluation phase in March

The proposals received during the brainstorming phase will be evaluated and the most feasible ideas will be selected for voting. Representatives of the Youth Council, the Council for Older People, the Council for People with Disabilities and experts from the city organisation will also be involved in the feasibility assessment.

The 2024 call for ideas is now closed

The City of Rauma’s participatory budgeting brainstorming phase has ended. The phase ran from 1 to 27 February and ideas were collected from Rauma residents and other interested parties on where the total budget of €50 000 Mnuu huki should be spent.
