Rauma healthcare services received information during last week of Covid-infections on Rauma shipyard. During testing of the exposed on the weekend, more positive cases were discovered. A combined of 13 covid-infections have now been diagnosed on the shipyard, counting together last week and the weekend. The infections are from employees of a subcontractor of the shipyard.
More testing and mapping of the exposures will happen on Monday 15 February.
Exposed people will be contacted and they will be placed in quarantine.
Rauma healthcare services emphasize that if a person quarantined falls ill, they must go get tested. However, getting tested will not shorten the quarantine.
The incubation period for Covid-19 is usually 4 to 5 days, but can vary from 1 to 14. If the exposed person displays even mild symptoms, such as runny nose, cough, sore throat, fever, loss of taste or smell or diarrhea in some cases, they must be tested immediately.
