The Christmas season in Lace Town kicks off on Saturday, November 25, 2023, in Rauma and continues until January 7, 2024. A charming Christmas Market will be set up at the Market Square, the Christmas Elf Courtyard in Tammela invites families with children, and the Joulevangeeljum musical will delight audiences once again on December 15-16. Additionally, numerous other Christmas events will take place throughout the city.
“This year, we are particularly focusing on the Rauma Christmas Market experience. There will be a variety of stage programs, and the sales booths will offer wonderful gift ideas and quality handicrafts. In the city center, you can also enjoy beautiful Christmas lights,” says Sanja Pallassalmi, producer of the Christmas Lace Town.
The Christmas Market stage program and detailed information about the merchants in the sales booths will be published next week on the website pitsikaupunginjoulu.fi.

Joulevangeeljum Musical Will Delight Once Again
The Joulevangeeljum musical will be performed in Old Rauma on December 15-16. The musical, presented in the form of a parade, is based on the Christmas Gospel and the history of Rauma. Free performances for the audience will be held on Friday, December 15, at 6 PM, and on Saturday, December 16, at 4 PM and 7 PM. General rehearsals can be observed on Thursday, December 14, starting at 5 PM.

The first scene of the musical will be performed at the Old Town Hall at Kauppakatu 13. The musical is in Finnish.
