The markets that spread over the entire city area are a big part of Rauma’s Lace Week. During the city festival, the International Grand Market is organized on July 26–29, the Black Lace Night Market on July 28 and the Kalatori artisan market on July 28–29.
The International Grand Market is open on Wednesday July 26 and Thursday July 27 from 10 am to 8 pm. On the Black Lace Night on Friday July 28 the markets are open until 11 pm. Saturday July 29 the market is open from 10 am to 6 pm. The market area includes Nortamonkatu, Kauppakatu, Kalliokatu, Valtakatu, Kanalinranta and in front of the theater, among others.
– About 140 entrepreneurs from more than 30 different countries and numerous provinces of Finland participate in the Grand market. The theme of the market this year is the world of flavors, which means that visitors can try, experience and be surprised by the variety and wonderfulness of the flavors. In addition to food, the sale also includes handicrafts and textile products, says production assistant Elina Aalto.
You can enjoy the Black Lace Night Market on Friday, July 28 from 10 am to 11 pm and on Saturday July 29 from 10 am to 6 pm. The market area is divided into Savilankatu and Kauppakatu. Products are from Finland and around the world – there are also food experiences for many tastes.
Kalatori’s Artesan Market will be held on Friday July 28 from 12 pm to 10 pm and on Saturday July 29 from 10 am to 4 pm. The atmospheric event brings together craft entrepreneurs from all over Finland. The artesan market products are hand made from Finland.
