Christmas holidays and the New Year bring some exceptions to the opening hours of various city services.
The city’s services are closed from 24th to the 26th of December, on New Year’s Day 1st of January and on Epiphany, 6th of January, if not separately mentioned otherwise.
Social and healthcare services
Healthcare services
Rauma urgent care clinic is open from 8 am to 6 pm on 24.-26.12 and on 31.12. On other days the clinic is open normally from 7.30 am to 10 pm, including New Year’s Day 1.1. Before coming to the clinic people should call the info-line 02 835 2670.
Geriatric unit, meaning the memory clinic and Pysy pystys -clinic are closed from 23 December 2022 to 1 January 2023.
Lappi healthcare station doctors and nurses receptions are closed from 23 December 2022 to 2 January 2023.
Nortamo family center
Reception for children and young people is closed from 23 December 2022 to 1 January 2023.
Lappi healthcare station is closed from 23 December 2022 to 2 January 2023. Child health services are available during this time from the Nortamo family center in Rauma.
Oral healthcare
Pyynpää dental clinic closed from 23 December 2022 to 1 January 2023.
Lappi dental clinic closed from 23 December 2022 to 1 January 2023.
Nanu dental clinic has shut down on 19 December and moved its operations to the central dental clinic.
Environmental health
The Rauma Environmental health office is closed on 23 December.
Libraries
Kodisjoki library is closed from 22 December to 9 January.
The library bus will not operate from 22 December to 8 January.
On Thursday 5 January the main library is open from 9 am to 5 pm and branch libraries from 10 am to 5 pm.
Museums
Rauma museums Old Town Hall, museum shop Kistupuad and Marela are open on from 12 pm to 4 pm on Friday 23 December, and Thursday 5 January.
Rauma Art Museum is open on Friday 23 December from 12 pm to 4 pm, Wednesday 28 December 12 pm to 7 pm and on New Years Eve 31 December 12 pm to 6 pm.
Rauma swimming hall
The swimming hall has candle light swims on Thursday 22 December from 6 am to 8 pm.
The swimming hall is open on 23 December from 6 am to 2 pm. Closed on New Year’s Eve.
Youth services
Kuovi Youth center is open from 29 to 30 December and on Monday 2 January from 4 pm to 7 pm. On Thursday 5 January Kuovi is open with free activity drom 2 pm to 5 pm.
Työvis in Lappi in on a Christmas break from 15 December to 10 January 2023.
The Skate hall is on a Christmas break from 9 December to 26 December. The hall is open on 27 and 28 December and 3 and 4 January from 1 pm to 6 pm.
Ohjaamo is closed from 27 January to 4 December.
Outreach youth work is closed is on a Christmas break from 23 to 30 December.
Waste management
Waste collection scheduled for 26 December are handled on 27 to 30 December.
Collections scheduled fro 6 January are collected 2 to 5 January
Hevossuo Waste Station
Hevossuo Waste Station is open on Friday 23 December from 7 am to 4 pm and on 30 December from 7 am to 6 pm.
Public transportation
On 24 December public transportation is active until 1 pm. After this line 1 operates according to the regular Saturday schedule. No buses operate on Sunday 25 December. normal Sunday schedules (S-lines) apply on Monday 26 December.
After 1 January 2023 public transportation in Rauma is called Rauman Gyyt.
New Year’s Day 1 January regular Sunday schedule is followed.
