The Regional State Administrative Agency for southwestern Finland gave new gathering restrictions to Satakunta on December 2nd. Public events and meetings of a maximum of 20 people can be held indoors or in restricted outdoor spaces, if they follow directives given by the Finnish institute for Health and Welfare.

Wreath laying-events on Finnish Independence Day will be held with special arrangements

Wreaths will be laid on Independence day in Old Rauma, Lappi and Kodisjoki cemeteries. The events will be held in a way that no more than 20 people are present at the same time. Organizers hope that the public will watch the event from the city’s YouTube-channel or listen to it on Radio Ramona.

Organizing the Declaration of the Christmas Peace will be decided on later, because the current restrictions are in effect until 23 December.

Libraries and museums do not receive group visits

The city’s museums will be held open normally. Visitors are expected to follow the mask recommendation given for public spaces. Personnel will also wear masks in customer service situations. However, museums will not accept any group visits, such as school classes or kindergarten groups between 3-23rd of December.

Libraries are open normally. It is recommended that library users use masks when indoors. Personnel will also wear masks in shared spaces. However, users are advised to avoid longer stays at the library, so it is recommended that books are read elsewhere.

In addition, the magazine reading hall is limited to 20 seats. Libraries also do not receive any group visits between 3-23rd of December.

Capacity in youth facilities is limited

Due to new restrictions, simultaneous attendance is limited to 20 people in youth facilities. Additional spaces can be taken into use at Kuovi youth center and counselors can meet with young people outdoors.

No changes in the sports and leisure department

Latest guidelines given by the he Regional State Administrative Agency do not affect the operation of the sports and leisure department because restrictions were already in place. The swimming hall will be kept open normally.

Sports clubs can organize activities for 15 year olds and under in groups of 20 on large fields or pitches if the groups practice on different sides of the field and hace no contact with each other.
