The City of Rauma is providing food bags for families with children in pre-primary and basic education to substitute school lunches. The second food bag distribution of the spring is on Wednesday 29 May. Every family with children in distance learning from the city’s schools is has had the opportunity to order the food bags. This time approximately 3200 bags are distributed.
The content of the bags may vary due to availability, but the value will be the same in each one. Celiac disease and grain allergies will be taken into account if there were notified of in the order form. Special diets must be mentioned at the pickup point. All items are packed into one bag.
The bags are distributed outdoors at the main doors at Pohjoiskehä school, the dining hall in Nanu, Kodisjoki school and Lappi school. Families must collect the bags at the pickup with the name they ordered the bags with.
Pohjoiskehä and Nanu school pickup points will be especially crowded, so it is very important to follow the pickup schedule and directions. At these pickups, the bags are meant to be put directly in the trunk of the car to minimize unnecessary contacts. Everyone collecting the bags should be careful and have patience in the traffic.
It is important to remember the coronavirus related instructions when collecting the bags. Do not form groups and maintain a safe distance to other people. Risk groups have their own pickup times which should be used in true need.
If a family has forgotten to order a food bag, they can inquire what the situation is at the pickup points at 4:45 to 5 PM. If there are excess bags they can be distributed to families with no pre-order.
