Rauma follows recommendations by the Finnish Institute for Health and Welfare and expands fourth vaccine dose distribution

The Finnish institute for health and welfare has updates its recommendations on who should be offered the fourth Covid vaccine dose. Rauma healthcare services follow these recommendations and distributes the fourth doses at the vaccination events held in T0 department of the main healthcare center.

The Finnish institute for health and welfare recommends that a fourth dose of Covid-vaccine is given in stages to new groups of people. The groups in order are:

70 to 79 year olds that are not in risk groups
18 to 69 year old that are in risk group
60 to 69 year old that are not in risk groups

On weeks 30 and 31 vaccinations are given from Tuesday to Thursday from 9 AM to 4 PM, with the exception of Wednesday 3 August, when the vaccinations are given from 9 AM to 6 PM.

Vaccinations are given without appointments, but it is also possible to book an appointment through rauma.terveytesi.fi.

For the next two weeks, the appointments are meant for people 70 years of age or older. People who are both at least 18 years of age and in risk groups can come get vaccinated without appointment.

People must make sure themselves that they have long enough gaps between doses and that they know what group of people they belong to.

Made appointments must be cancelled if they cannot be met. It the time is not canceled, a fine will be issued. Cancellations and changes can be made by calling tel. +358 44 403 2625 from Tuesday to Thursday from 8 AM to 10 AM.
