The Art After Work event offers memorable art experiences and new kinds of cultural encounters in Rauma on October 13-14

Art After Work 13.-14.10. in Rauma.

In Rauma, the Art After Work event is organized on October 13–14, which has been conceptualized together with culture and tourism operators. It is a new kind of art ensemble – including, among other things, performance art, walk-in tattoos, dining experiences with rude service, and an art menu.

– Art can also be enjoyed in the forms of visual art and music. With a glass of wine or mocktails, you can try guided painting, and children can create their own artworks during a cafe moment, explains Tourism Manager Irene Villanen.

The event involves several different partners, such as theater groups, restaurants, artists, and choirs.

– Art After Work is part of the City of Rauma’s “Ympärivuotisesti elinvoimainen Rauma” project. The aim of the project is to diversify and develop event, product, and experience offerings also during quieter seasons, such as autumn and spring, Villanen says.

The entire program for that weekend can be explored at www.topsec.fi/fi/ajankohtaista/art-after-work (in Finnish).

The event is produced by Rauma Top Security Services Oy. Fiilaamo Oy is responsible for the visual appearance of the Art After Work ensemble.

The “Ympärivuotisesti elinvoimainen Rauma” project is funded by Satakuntaliitto. The main target group of the project is the local community – residents and especially companies and the third sector operating in the fields of culture, art, tourism, events, and creative industries. The target group also includes tourists and other actors interested in the area. The project runs from June 1, 2022, to December 31, 2024. The budget is 100,000 euros.
