Aftercare services for young people

When the custody ends, aftercare starts. Services are always constructed according to child’s or young person´s individual needs and they are made by the social worker´s decision. When custody has ended, special support, aftercare, is arranged for child and his/her parents. The content is agreed in the aftercare plan. Aftercare ends at the latest when young people turn 21 years old. Aftercare can be for example:

  • economical support
  • support for living and becoming independent
  • support for studies
