Christmas Opening

The Christmas lights turn on in Old Rauma, Santa Claus arrives at the Market Square and the city centre fills up with Christmas elfs and season’s programme in Rauma’s traditional Christmas Opening on Saturday 26th November. The event culminates in the lighting of the Old Rauma Christmas lights at 3 p.m.

Programme at the Market Square:

• 12.15 Rauma Youth Band’s performance
• 12.45 Kari School Music classes’ performance
• 13.00 Turku Dance Institute’s performance
• 13.15 Miss Lace
• 13.30 Cover band Recovera performs Christmas music
• 14.30 Kari School Music classes’ performance
• 14.50 Dance Show of Ville Viking
• 15.00 Rewarding the 2022 Rakastunut Raumaan person/company. Christmas lights will be turned on by Mayor Esko Poikela.

You can also ride with the City train for free from 11.00 to 14.00.

Kauppakatu street will be closed between Isoraastuvankatu and Kirkkokatu streets from 12.00 to 15.30.  The cars are directed from Kauppakatu street to Isoraastuvankatu street from the corner of the Old Town Hall Museum.
