Rannikon sävel; Down Under

The concert Down Under features Australian music. The music of this relatively young culture is somewhat less known to wider audiences throughout the world. In despair for long-haul travel this concert will take the listener to the other side of the world.

The concert features works by the Australian composers Peter Sculthorpe, Ross Edwards and Nigel Westlake. Their works have drawn inspiration by the surrounding nature of the continent. As one can probably imagine the tonal language is unique combined with an independent musical identity.

The concert has received support by the Erkki Paasikiven säätiö and Svenska kulturfonden

In collaboration with Rauman seurakunta
