Rauma Festivo: Friendship
Johannes Brahms’s Second Symphony (1877) is like a good friendship: music that radiates warmth and temperament hangs in good spirits and lingers in the backwaters at times – not forgetting the festivities! The adaptation of Iain Farrington by the British for 13 players allows for an intimate, chamber musical performance of the masterpiece without a conductor. The sparkling Helsinki Chamber Soloists brings the Rauma Festival concert to the shelter of Gustav Adolf Church in Eurajoki.
