Friday evening’s extended opening hours in Rauma Art Museum
Rauma Art Museum has extended opening hours on the every last Fridays of month. Then the museum is open at 12.00-20.00 o’clock. Extended dates are 25.9., 30.10., 27.11 and 29.1. December’s extended opening hours are kept in 11.12.
Anna Eriksson’s exhibition M – The Rituals of a Lonely Bitch is presented in Rauma Art Museum during 5.9.2020 to 31.1.2021. Eriksson’s first exhibition is meant to lead us to the darker side of one’s subconsciousness. M is a surrealistic protagonist of the show and Eriksson’s first movie, which has got its inspiration from Marilyn Monroe. At the exhibition, Eriksson uses audio-visual presentations, self-suggestion, performances and iconography of pop-culture. The exhibition contains heavy footages and loud audio-material. Thus, it isn’t recommended to adolescents or sensitive viewers. The exhibition is not suitable for children.
In addition, our permanent exhibition of Eino Valtonen collection is open at upstairs. Donation collection contains artworks from the Golden Age of Finnish art and European art from 1700-1800 century.
In the museum shop, there is a small Showcase exhibition, of which artworks changes between the local artists. Showcase will present art of Kirsi Kuusisto at 1.10.2020-31.1.2021. Everybody are free to come and see the showcase exhibition at the museum shop without admission fee.
Admission fees are €6/€3. With museum card and under 18 years old are without charge.
