Strangers in the Night tells the story of the lives and love of two Hollywood stars, which was not lacking in passion, jealousy and high drama.
Frank Sinatra (1915-1998) was an American singer and film actor. In the 1940s, he became a singer much admired by teenage girls. He had several hit songs, the most famous of which are My Way, Strangers in the Night, Fly Me to the Moon and New York, New York. Sinatra was alleged to have had good connections with the mafia, which would have helped his career.
Ava Gardner (1922-1990) was an American actress and adored beauty queen.
The musical takes you into the glamorous world of Hollywood, glamour and gansters. Frank Sinatra is played by the brilliantly voiced tango king Tommi Soidinmäki. As Ava Gardner, Elisa Lairikko, star of several musicals, dazzles. Katariina Leino, who has written dozens of plays and musicals, will write the script and Petri Lairikko will direct.
