Blues club: Million Dollar Tones and KallaBlöös

Rauma Blues starts with two blues club days. The second club day, Frisay 12.8.2022, is closed with two amazing artists’ club gig. Million Dollar Tones and KallaBlöös will be performing in Kulttuurikuppila Brummi, Karjalankatu 15.

Million Dollar Tones is a unique band in Finnish music scene. Their music combines 50’s and 60’s dark-ish rock’n’roll and rhytmic blues with heavy swing – and the music is played respecting it’s primeval black roots. Despite of wild jungle rhythms and groove to be danced music doesn’t bargain from it’s rooted elements, which can be found in New Orleans styled piano and saxophones. Partying will be balanced with blue ballads. Band’s songs are both originals and borrowed classics that have been chosen with good taste.

In 2020 KallaBlöös made their depute in Rauma Blues and now they are coming back on stage with new material. Although KallaBlöös is fairly new band, the members have plenty of experience touring in Finland, Europe and America. Trio’s own songs are on the other hand beer drinking music, taking notes from bands like Cream, Free, Ten Years After and ZZ Top. On the other hand songs are sensitive story telling in the spirit of blues and bluesrock.

Doors open at 20 o’clock and the gig starts at 22 o’clock.
