You can read magazines and newspapers in the library and you can also borrow them. The latest issue cannot be borrowed and the loan period for older issues is two weeks.

Not only can you borrow books and magazines, but you can also borrow audiobooks, easy-to-read books and large print books.

From the library you can borrow sheet music and audio recordings, games and movies. In the main library´s microfilm reading room you can read microfilms and –cards and save on your USB flash drive and print.

A person with print disabilities can borrow Celia-audiobooks and they can register as the user of Celia’s audiobook service. You can get more information from

Rauma-collection can be found on the second floor in the main library. It consists of books, magazines and newspapers, maps, audio recordings, history, annual reports, small publications etc. Collections materials cannot be borrowed.

The Main Library has received books for children and young people from the Multilingual Library. This rotating collection is available for a limited time only (spring 2021) and includes books in following languages: Polish, Arabic, Latvian, Italian, Bulgarian, French, Russian, Portuguese, Lithuanian, Pashto, Turkish, Chinese and German. The collection offers books for school children from the first to ninth grade though the selection is not this wide in all languages. The loan period of the books is 28 days.
