Course fees

Each course has its own course fee, which is indicated in the course text. The fee does not usually include textbooks or supplies. Exceptions mentioned under the course. Fees for supplies are payable to the teacher.

When you enrol, you commit to paying the course fee. Course fees are paid when registering online via online banking – when registering you have the option to go directly to OP, Nordea, Danske bank or Aktia/Sp/Pop or pay with ePassport. If you do not pay the course fee when registering online, you will receive an invoice. The invoice will be sent once the course starts. You can pay the invoice at the bank OR at the City Service Point Pyyrmann, Valtakatu 2 by cash, debit card or cultural/exercise voucher (ePassport, Smartum, Edenred Power Voucher, Tyky-Kuntoseteli+).

The course fee for students under 18 years of age will be charged to the guardian.

If you wish, you can pay the course fee of more than 70€ in two instalments. Contact the Rauma Adult Education Centre office. Please take into account the subsidies for the course fees.

Cancellation of registration and cancellation conditions

You can cancel online or by notifying the Rauma Adult Education Centre office. Cancellations cannot be made to a teacher or by e-mail. You can cancel a booked course place free of charge up to 7 days before the start of the course, after which an office fee of €10 will be charged for cancellations made before the start of the course. If the cancellation is made after the course has started, or not at all, the full course fee will be charged.

All unpaid invoices will go to Sarastia Kuntaperintä Oy for collection. Please contact the Rauma Adult Education Centre office within one week of receiving your invoice if there are any problems with the invoice or if you need, for example, to reschedule the due date. For invoices after the due date, please contact Sarastia Kuntaperintä Oy Customer Service directly.

Course cancellation, refund of payment

The course will be decided one week before the course/lecture starts. The course will only start if there are enough enrolments. If the course does not start, those already enrolled will be informed of the cancellation.

Courses and lectures will not be announced separately.

The course fee will only be refunded if the course is cancelled. If a course is cancelled due to a reduction in the number of students or if the student drops out of the course, the remaining course fee will not be refunded. A student who discontinues a course in the middle of the course has the possibility to transfer to another course of the same price, provided that there are places available on the course. If the student wishes to transfer to a more expensive course, he/she will pay the difference.

Course fee discounts

From the Finnish National Board of Education, a voucher-type grant is awarded to unemployed students.

An unemployed person is defined by the Employment Service as a jobseeker who is without work and available for full-time work or who is waiting for an agreed job to start. Half the course fee for one course is eligible for the grant. You must register for the course before applying for the grant. To apply for a reduction in course fees, please apply in writing at the college office and online using the form (link below), which can be completed and sent electronically, or printed and returned to the office.
The student will be informed of the decision and the remaining course fee will only be paid once the decision on the application has been taken.
