Site managers

The supervisor in charge of the construction work is responsible for its execution and quality. He ensures that the work is carried out in accordance with the building regulations, the regulations, the permit issued and good building practice.

Duties of the responsible supervisor:

  • Request kick-off meetings, inspections and other regulatory inspections in a timely manner.
  • To be responsible for the overall management of the specialist sub-tasks and to ensure that the specialist supervisors carry out their assigned tasks.
  • Inspect construction work by phase of work and maintain inspection records.
  • Report discrepancies to the construction supervisor and take appropriate action on any deficiencies or errors found.

A supervisor is usually required for any construction work that requires a permit or other official approval. This includes excavation, filling, excavation, piling and demolition work associated with a construction project.

The application of a competent foreman who has been accepted for the position must be submitted for approval to the building control department before the above-mentioned works are started.

Foremen in specific sectors

The necessary specialised foremen will be specified in the permit decision. The construction work must have a foreman responsible for the construction of the water and sewerage and ventilation systems of the building, depending on the complexity of the tasks. In addition, there may be other supervisors responsible for specific areas of the building work, who shall be appointed in the building permit or, for specific reasons, during the building work.

The building’s water and sewerage foreman is responsible for carrying out the building’s water and sewerage works in accordance with the rules, regulations and the permit issued. Regulatory control is focused on the inspection of the water and sewerage installations during the commissioning phase, so that the responsibility of the PPA foreman for the stage-by-stage inspections is increased.

The application of a specialist supervisor who has been accepted for the job must be submitted for approval to the building inspectorate before the above-mentioned works are started.
