Everyday Wellbeing Fair Brings Hobbies, Wellbeing and Meaningful Encounters to Karin kampus on 10 October 2026
News

The hobby fair for children and young people, already familiar to many in Rauma, is expanding this year into an event for the whole family. The renewed event, the Everyday Wellbeing Fair, will take place at Karin kampus on Saturday, 10 October 2026, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The programme includes performers, lectures on wellbeing, opportunities to try different sports and hobbies, and a chance to learn more about local associations, communities and services.
– We want to bring together a wide range of elements that support a good everyday life under one roof for a single day. Compared to previous years, the fair will place a greater emphasis on culture, volunteering, community spirit and activities that promote wellbeing. At its best, a visitor may discover a new hobby, a community or an idea that makes everyday life smoother and more meaningful, says sports coordinator Noora Kallio.
Performers, Lectures and Experiences for All Ages
The fair will take place throughout the various facilities of Karin kampus. Visitors can explore nearly 80 exhibitor stands, learn more about the activities of local associations and communities, and try out different hobbies and leisure-time activities.
In addition to the exhibitor stands, the event offers a diverse programme for all ages. Featured performers include Pikku Papun Orkesteri, Satusetä and Hovimuusikko Ilkka. Wellbeing coach Karoliina Hallenberg will share insights on motivation for physical activity and creating lasting change. Visitors can also attend presentations on topics such as mental wellbeing, family wellbeing, everyday life for older adults, and youth exchange and host family activities.
The fair will be held on World Mental Health Day, 10 October, which is also reflected in the event programme.
– A good everyday life can mean different things to different people. Hobbies, community spirit, physical activity and meeting other people are important building blocks of mental wellbeing, which is why we have brought together such a diverse range of participants for the fair. We hope that as many visitors as possible will discover something new to enrich their everyday lives during the day, says Kallio.
The event is organised by the City of Rauma, Rauma Parish, MIELI Mental Health Finland and other partners. The programme and further information about the Everyday Wellbeing Fair are available at Sport Services website.
