The City of Rauma and Ukipolis Oy are conducting a survey on mobile network connectivity in rural areas of Rauma. The survey examines problems related to mobile network use, phone calls and data connections, such as disruptions, slow connections and areas with poor coverage. The survey is aimed at residents, leisure residents and businesses in the area. The survey is open until Friday, 30 October 2026.

In the survey, respondents can mark locations or areas on a map where mobile connections are poor. Based on the results, areas will be selected for more detailed mobile network measurements, and proposals will be drawn up for measures to improve connectivity. The survey and measurement results will also be used in cooperation with mobile network operators to develop mobile networks.

The survey takes about five minutes to complete, and the results will be processed anonymously. Take the survey (in Finnish).

Reliable mobile connections are important for everyday life, work and business activities in rural and sparsely populated areas. They are needed, for example, for remote work and access to digital services, as well as in agriculture for operating machinery, using field data software and accessing public authority services.

The survey is being conducted as part of Ukipolis Oy’s project to identify areas with mobile network connectivity problems. The project examines the functionality of mobile data networks in rural Rauma and follows up on the previous mapping carried out in the Vakka-Suomi region. The project runs from 1 April 2026 to 31 December 2027 and is funded by Leader Ravakka and the participating municipalities.

More information about the project is available at ukipolis.fi.
