Opening hours at the Lappi and Uotila libraries to be extended at weekends

Good news for self-service users at the Lappi and Uotila libraries!
The self-service opening hours at the libraries in Lappi and Uotila will be extended. From the start of September, the libraries will also be open for self-service on Saturdays and Sundays from 8 am to 6 pm, whereas until now the weekend self-service hours have been from 10 am to 4 pm.
The extension of opening hours stemmed from a request from a customer who wanted the libraries to open as early as 9 am at weekends. We wanted to respond to this request even more comprehensively, whilst at the same time simplify the opening hours.
From 1 September 2026, the Lappi and Uotila libraries will operate on just two easy-to-remember self-service opening times: Mon–Thu 8 am–8 pm and Fri–Sun 8 am–6 pm.
