The City of Rauma is offering the former Komppi boat storage area for lease for temporary commercial use. The lease will be awarded through an open bidding process via the Huutokaupat.com service, and the lessee will be selected based on the highest accepted annual rent bid. The announcement can be viewed at https://huutokaupat.com/kohde/6505208. The bidding process begins on August 26 at 3:00 p.m. and ends on September 11, 2026.
The area will be leased for temporary commercial use under a fixed-term lease agreement for a maximum of ten years, which may be extended thereafter in one-year increments. The leased area is located at Leppäläntie 12 and has a total area of approximately 5,570 m².
Future plans for the area, in accordance with the master development plan, include reservations for a canal and residential zones. Due to these plans, use of the area must be temporary; for example, permanent construction is not permitted. Such use must not prevent or hinder the area’s future development or the implementation of any planned reservations.
– The former boat storage area is being offered for lease because the city’s own seasonal storage operations have ended, but it is considered appropriate to utilize the area until it is put to its intended use. The area available for lease is well-suited, for example, as a storage or open-air area, for the storage of equipment and materials, for logistics purposes, or for other similar temporary commercial use,” says Land Use Manager Ari-Pekka Asikainen.
