The City renovates piers in Syväraumanlahti and Kuuskajaskari during autumn

The pier on the eastern side of Kuuskajaskari will be rebuilt, and the water bus pier at Syväraumanlahti will be renovated during the fall of 2026. In addition, the renovation of pier 13 at Syväraumanlahti will begin in October. These measures are intended to serve both water bus traffic and private boaters by improving facilities in the archipelago and at the marina.
The old pier 13 will be demolished and the new one installed before the ice sets in. Those who have rented boat slip spaces at the pier have been notified of this separately. Aureskosken Jalostetehdas is responsible for the work.
In Kuuskajaskari, the old pier will be demolished and replaced with a new 60-meter concrete pontoon pier, complete with equipment.
The water bus pier at Syväraumanlahti will be renovated; the existing ramp will be extended and the deck raised. In addition, a new ramp with railings will be built. The work on the Kuuskajaskari and water bus piers will be carried out by Marinetek Finland Oy.
