The auction ends on August 28, 2026, at 8:00 p.m., or three minutes after the last bid.
The sale includes an estimated 10,645 square meters of the Jokela property where the school is located, as well as the main building, shelters, and playground equipment. The main building served as an elementary school until June 2026. The single-story log-frame main building was constructed in 1912 and expanded in the 1940s and in recent decades. The building was also renovated in 1987. Its gross floor area is 1,412 square meters.
Viewings will be held on Monday, August 17, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and on Friday, August 21, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. The school’s address is Nihattulantie 487, 26740 Vasarainen.
The final decision on the sale will be made by the Rauma City Council. The sale will only go through if the highest bid is approved at the City Council meeting.
