Three Churches Cycling Event Raises Funds for Children’s and Youth Sports on 12 September 2026

The charity event Three Churches Cycling will be held in Rauma for the seventh time on Saturday, 12 September 2026, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Organised by the Rauma Parish, the City of Rauma and local partners, the event raises funds to support sports and physical activity opportunities for children, young people and families.
– Three Churches Cycling is a great example of an event where exercise, community spirit and helping others go hand in hand. We hope to see as many participants as possible join us to enjoy cycling and do good together, says Sports Coordinator Kimmo Kouru.
Choose the Route That Suits You
Cyclists of all ages are welcome, and there is a suitable route for both beginners and more experienced riders. You can take part in one of three ways:
- Mini Route to the Church of the Holy Cross
Participants can cycle from their homes to the church at their own pace. - Guided Church Route
This guided route is approximately 10 kilometres long and takes place around one of the participating churches. Group departures are at 10 a.m. from the Holy Cross Church, Lappi Church and Kodisjoki Church. - Three Churches Route
This marked route connects all three churches and can be completed at your own pace. Route maps are available at the churches and can also be downloaded from the Rauma Parish website.
Family Activities and Refreshments at the Churches
From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., the churches will host activities for families with children and young people. Visitors can explore the churches with guides, and at the Holy Cross Church there will be an opportunity to try out a variety of sports equipment available in the mobile sports trailer.
The Scouts will also be making pancakes and presenting their activities at the event locations. Participants are encouraged to bring their own eating utensils for the pancakes.
Soup lunch and coffee will be available at the Holy Cross Church from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Refreshments will be served at Lappi Church and Kodisjoki Church from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Visitors may make a voluntary donation for the refreshments, with all proceeds going to charity. Payments can be made in cash or via MobilePay.
At the end of the day, cycling saunas will be heated at Meriristi and Narvi Summer Centre from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. The sauna is free for participants who have collected all the required stamps on their event stamp card.
