Digitization and Music Room

In the room, you can play electric guitar and electronic drums with headphones, as well as convert analog materials into digital format.

Electronic drums can be played on weekdays after 3 PM.

You can use the computer with the following programs:

  • Reaper (recording software)
  • Guitar Pro 8 (for learning and practicing)

Supported media for digitization:

  • VHS and VHS-C tapes (DVD burning only)
  • Photographs and slides
  • Film negatives: 135-type, 120-type, 110 mm
  • LP records and cassette tapes

Digitization is real-time, so please allow enough time.

Clear instructions are available in the room, and staff can assist you if needed.

The room is free to use, but you must bring your own DVDs and USB sticks for digitization or purchase them from the library.

Main Library – Newspaper Reading Room

  • Available until 5 PM (self-service)
  • Copying and printing from library computers
  • Printing from mobile devices is not possible
  • Free scanning to email in PDF format

Musical Instruments and CD Players

Main Library

  • Digital piano (headphones required)
  • Electric organ in the children’s section (headphones required)
  • CD players with headphones in the children’s section and upstairs
  • Borrowable record player (can also digitize LP records)

Kourujärvi Library
