Committees and Board of Directors
The committees and board of directors are trust-based bodies organized by areas of responsibility. They are in charge of ensuring the effective delivery of services within their respective sectors. The City Council appoints their members and chairpersons.
Follow the Decision Making
You can follow the city’s decision making in the agendas and minutes of the meetings. The agendas of the City Council, City Board, City Committees and City Boards are published on the city’s website before the meetings, together with their annexes.
Council meetings are generally open to the public and can be followed on the spot by anyone interested in municipal decision making. The Council Chamber is located in the Town Hall.
Upcoming meetings are announced well in advance in local newspapers and on the city’s website. Council meetings can be followed live on the City of Rauma’s YouTube channel and can also be watched afterwards as a recording.
You can find the contact details of the officials in the Contact section.

Appealing Against Decisions
Under the Municipal Act, a citizen has the right to appeal against decisions. An appeal can be lodged by means of a petition for review, a municipal appeal or an administrative appeal. The petition for review must be made before the municipal appeal. If you are dissatisfied with the decisions, you can appeal against them.
