Christmas Cards for the Elderly – Join the Heartwarming Campaign
News

The most anticipated holiday card campaign is about to begin! The creative community of care, Siskot ja Simot ry, together with its partners, is organizing the 13th annual “Christmas Cards for the Elderly” campaign, running from November 3 to December 4, 2025.
The campaign collects Christmas cards for elderly clients receiving home care and living in assisted facilities. A small card can bring great joy and warm feelings of care to someone who may be spending the holidays alone.
“A small Christmas card can bring immense joy and heartwarming feelings of care to a lonely elderly person for a long time,” says Hanna Simola, Executive Director of Siskot ja Simot ry.
How to participate:
- Create a handmade Christmas card.
- Write warm Christmas greetings on the card.
- Address the card to “Sinulle” and sign it with your own name.
- Drop the card as is into the collection box at Rauma Main Library during the campaign period. Please do not place the card in an envelope.
The campaign partners include the Association of Finnish Local and Regional Authorities, the Finnish Adult Education Centres Association, Citizen Forum, and the War Veterans Heritage Association. The campaign is under the patronage of President of the Republic Alexander Stubb.
