Plans are underway to renovate water and sewer lines in Lappi — work will begin with field surveys

Rauma Water is planning to renovate water and sewer lines in the Lappi village center.
The plan requires up-to-date information on the area’s pipelines, valves, and manholes. This data will be collected through field surveys. The city’s Real Estate and Surveying Department will conduct surveys in the field and, where necessary, on private property as well. In the first phase, surveys will be conducted in the Suokari, Matinhivo, and Kirkkala areas.
Property owners in the area will receive a text message about the surveys via Rauma Water’s alert system.
Surveys will be conducted from the beginning of August until the first snowfall.
On private property, residential wells and their connection elevations will be mapped. To facilitate the measurement work, property owners are asked to remove any obstacles near the residential wells.
The employees conducting the measurements will be traveling in vehicles and wearing clothing bearing the Rauma logo. They will also carry photo ID cards. Drones may also be used to assist with the survey.
