Rauman Asunnot Oy has joined the energy efficiency agreement for the years 2026–2035. Kiinteistö Oy Sinisaar and Kiinteistö Oy Pläkkluat are included in the agreement under the City of Rauma’s contract, so this concerns all our residents.

With the agreement, we commit to improving the energy efficiency of our operations by the end of 2035.

Through the agreement, we will develop the energy efficiency of our operations in a long-term manner and actively monitor the achievement of our goals. It will also help reduce energy costs and cut emissions.

What is an energy efficiency agreement?

Energy efficiency agreements are agreements between the government and various sectors that guide industry, the energy and service sectors, the real estate sector, and the public sector towards more efficient use of energy through voluntary means. The current agreement period is the fourth in sequence and covers the years 2026–2035.

 How does the energy efficiency agreement affect residents?

The energy efficiency agreement aims to increase residents’ awareness of the possibilities and importance of improving energy use efficiency.

Energy Efficiency Agreements have become an established part of Finland’s energy policy over the decades. They play an important role in Finland’s climate and energy strategy and support Finland’s goal of becoming carbon neutral by 2035.

A wide range of government authorities and sectors have committed to the Energy Efficiency Agreements. Participants include the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment, the Ministry of the Environment, the Energy Authority, the Confederation of Finnish Industries EK, the Finnish Food and Drink Industries’ Federation, the Finnish Energy Industries, the Chemical Industries, the Forest Industry, the Technology Industries, the Finnish Commerce Federation, the Finnish Hospitality Association MaRa, the Central Organisation of Finnish Automobile Traders, the Finnish Real Estate Federation and developers Rakli, the Association of Finnish Local and Regional Authorities, and the Regional State Administrative Agencies.
