Students at an event

Studentum.fi has conducted research for the fourth time to determine which city in Finland is the best for student life. This year, Rauma ranks as the second-best city overall.

The research is based on a survey conducted among students. In the survey, participants were asked to choose the three most appealing qualities of a study location from nine different parameters. The importance of each parameter was weighted based on the number of responses it received.

The study compared 27 cities in Finland that have either a university or a university of applied sciences. A requirement for inclusion was that the city had more than 800 students in 2023. The top three cities for studying are: Helsinki in first place, Rauma in second, and Turku in third.

Rauma received positive feedback for its afoordable housing, excellent student satisfaction, and strong career opportunities. Short distances and a cozy environment were also highlighted.
