– This year, we were particularly hoping for proposals that would increase community spirit, well-being, and meaningful encounters. That is why the majority of proposals put to a vote were those that foster new kinds of encounters among city residents, explains Kristiina Kuusio, Well-being manager.
The number of proposals that will be implemented depends on the costs of the winning proposals. As many of the proposals that received the most votes as the total budget of €50,000 allows will be implemented. After the vote, the proposals will be ranked according to the number of votes received. At least two projects will be implemented with the allocated funds, and the maximum budget for a single project is €25,000. If the remaining budget is insufficient for a proposal, its budget and implementation will be re-evaluated.
