With a Big Heart 2025 – A Celebration of Well-being and Volunteerism at Winter Training Hall on September 27

Rauma’s Winter Training Hall will come alive with joy, inspiration, and a strong sense of community on Saturday, September 27, from 12 noon to 4 PM. Open to all and free of charge, the With a Big Heart 2025 event will showcase the region’s diverse activities and communities.
The program includes interactive performances on stage and engaging activities at exhibition stands. Iirolandia, designed for all ages, will highlight the unifying power of play.
– The star guest of the event will be Mikko ‘Peltsi’ Peltola, who inspires others to live an active life that suits them, says project coordinator Tiina-Maija Paloranta.
The event offers visitors the chance to discover new hobbies, connect with like-minded communities, expand their social networks, and enhance their personal well-being.
– Research shows that volunteering has a significant impact on people’s well-being and sense of purpose, Paloranta adds.
The City of Rauma is a partner in the event, which is part of a Satakunta-wide celebration of well-being and volunteerism. The event is coordinated by the Satakunta Community Center, the With a Big Heart Satakunta network, and the Valikko volunteer network in Rauma, along with dozens of local associations and organizations, including the Rauma Parish and Pallo-Iirot. The Disability Council, the Council for the Elderly, and the Together in Multicultural South Satakunta project are also participating.
