Rauma Music Institute is a music school run by the City of Rauma, which provides an extended syllabus in basic education in the arts. It has around 700 students and around 40 teachers teaching almost all instruments.
It offers a wide range of opportunities to study and practice music, and no previous experience is required to start. The school has wind and string orchestras, choirs, bands and other ensembles. For children under school age, the music school offers early music education, i.e. music playschool and preparatory instrument instruction.
The Education Committee is responsible for the teaching provided by the Rauma Music Institute.
Music Institute Office Opening Hours
The office is open Monday–Thursday from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM and Friday from 9:00 AM to 3:30 PM.
