Parks and forests

The Rauma Wihertoimi/Green Services design, build and manage the city’s green spaces, parks and forests. The goal of building green areas is to create an attractive environment and to preserve and increase the value of green spaces.

Greenspaces create a comfortable, thrilling and historic environment. The planning is based on the lines outlined in the city plan. The general planning of parks and green areas is made mainly by the city’s own personnel.

In Rauma there are about 600 hectares of landscaped parks.
