The Rauma Disability Council is a collaborative body representing disability organizations.

Its purpose is to promote cooperation between authorities, people with disabilities, and disability organizations; monitor changes in the needs of persons with disabilities; enhance opportunities for persons with disabilities to participate in and influence municipal decision-making; oversee the development of services, support measures, and other benefits intended for persons with disabilities; and submit initiatives, proposals, and statements to municipal authorities.

The Council consists of eight members representing various disability organizations. The organization’s coordinator serves as the secretary.
