A New Activity Trail at Pyytjärvi Has Opened – “There is Nothing Quite Like It in Rauma”

A new outdoor activity trail for children has been completed at the Pyytjärvi fitness area. The trail consists mainly of wooden obstacles and equipment designed to develop balance and motor skills. They are placed along an approximately 200-metre route covered with wood chips.
The new trail is particularly aimed at children, families, and anyone who enjoys playful outdoor exercise. Its forest location is intended to encourage children to spend more time moving in nature. From the trail, it is also easy to continue exploring the surrounding forest.
– The trail offers opportunities for versatile physical activity and aims especially to encourage families to be active together. There is nothing quite like it in Rauma, says Sports Facilities Manager Mikko Mustalampi.
The activity trail is located at the Pyytjärvi fitness area at the end of Uudenlahdentie. It can be accessed from the Pyytjärvi parking area, from which the trail is about a 200-metre walk. In the immediate vicinity of the trail, there is also outdoor gym equipment and the Pyytjärvi fitness track.
The groundworks for the trail were carried out by Rauman Kaivin Oy, while the equipment delivery and installation were handled by Leikkiset Oy. The supporting features of the trail will be further developed based on user feedback.
