Colorful blanket and children.

Children’s Culture Weeks in Rauma offer a wide range of cultural experiences for children and families from March 2 to March 29, 2026. This year, the events will exceptionally take place over almost the entire month of March.

Previously lasting two weeks, the event period has now been extended to four weeks. This makes participation easier and improves the overall accessibility of the events.

– When events are spread over a longer period, both families and early childhood education and school groups have more opportunities to take part without rushing, and more children can participate, says Cultural Producer Outi Lehtorinne.

Rauma Children’s Culture Weeks have grown year by year, and this year the events are expected to attract around 10,000 visitors.

– It is important to us that every child in Rauma has joyful cultural experiences and wonderful memories that they will cherish for a long time to come, Lehtorinne adds.

The family events, which are open to everyone, include lively concerts, fun museum visits, guest theatre performances – and, of course, big machines.

– The Big Machines event on March 28 will bring plenty of fascinating sights and the roar of engines to the Äijänsuo parking area. The day will be crowned by a concert by Puistopartio, which sold out in no time, says Lehtorinne.

For preschool and elementary school children, the programme features a wide range of concerts, theatre performances, guided tours, as well as physical and participatory activities.
