The image shows hazardous waste collection vehicles and employees of Rauma Waste Management loading hazardous waste into the vehicles.

Rauma Waste Management will organize a free hazardous waste collection in Rauma from 7 to 8 May 2026. A collection vehicle will visit urban areas and villages, and residents can bring household hazardous waste to the vehicle free of charge.

The collection accepts oils, batteries, paints, solvents, pesticides, fluorescent tubes, and medicines. Hazardous waste must be packed carefully and clearly labelled.

The collection vehicle does not accept explosives, barrels, electrical appliances, or bags of dry concrete.

Larger quantities of hazardous waste must be reported in advance to the Hevossuo Waste Management Centre by phone at +358 44 403 6420 or to waste management advisor Kaisa Österlund at +358 44 403 6116.
